Well friends, it has been one exciting week! I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Haven Conference in Atlanta Georgia for design bloggers and DIYers. It.was.dreamy.
I have been to many conferences over the years but never one regarding something I am truly interested in. Beyond being a complete blast, it really helped me identify what I want to do with my design talents moving forward. So, welcome to my new blog and website! I have been working hard to reconfigure things to better support my design business and make it easier for my readers to find things. Once I get everything in order, the Suburban Urbanist blog will be shut down and you can continue to read about my designs, here, at jhalvorsondesigns.com.
I will also be setting aside more time to work with clients, as that is my true passion over blogging. But I will continue share highlights of all my projects here so keep reading. And, I want to take this chance to THANK YOU for reading. I am so thankful that you take the time out of your busy schedules to enjoy my blog and I have been humbled to see my readership grow over the years.
So, with that, here are a few highlights from my time at the Haven conference.
Day one, trying to look the part of a design blogger. Have to admit, was a little nervous.
Anna White, the keynote speaker, who has an amazing blog with tons of great furniture designs at anna-white.com. If you haven’t been there, check it out.
The most amazing swag bag in swag bag history
Ballard Designs was the main sponsor of the event and had their furniture everywhere. It was all amazing! Hopefully they will open more storefronts soon.
One of my favorite sofas.
Bookshelf styling competitions. Great ideas!
All-in-all it was a great weekend and I am so thankful I was able to be a part of it. Now, to see what the future holds!
